The Marang Hotel is part of the Cresta group of hotels and is a licensed 3 star hotel, sited in well-maintained gardens and shady trees on the banks of the Tati River. It is conveniently located just 5km out of Francistown, a thriving and bustling town some 400km north of Botswana's capital city Gaborone, 500km south of Kasane and 200km west of Bulawayo in Zimbabwe.
It is an ideal stopover for self-drive tourists heading north towards Maun and eventually into the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. The small town of Nata is on this route, as is the Makgadikgadi National Park and Nxai Pan National Park. Complimentary transport is provided on their courtesy bus that meets all flights to and from the airport.
The reception is in the main thatched building. There is also a curio shop and bar. The restaurant serves an English breakfast, light lunches and a comprehensive selection of African and European dishes for dinner from their 'a la carte' menu. The common areas and most of the rooms are wheelchair friendly. The outdoor swimming pool area has a number of shady areas to escape the hot afternoon sunshine with loungers and chairs/tables provided. Other facilities include same-day laundry service, safety deposit boxes, secure parking and there is also a rapid-response patrol system.
The Morupule Conference Room seats up to 80 delegates conference style or 120 in cinema-style seating. The boardroom, ideal for small seminars and business meetings, seats 15. The Arena can take 30 delegates conference style and 50 in cinema-style seating. The use of an overhead projector, video recorder, flip-chart, audio equipment and a colour TV can be organized.
Accommodation is in a combination of 58 rooms. They are all equipped with air-conditioning, telephones and cable/satellite TV and tea/coffee station. There are non-smoking rooms available. The budget rooms do not have TV's.
