The family owned and managed Dumela Lodge is located on a 3.6ha plot on the outskirts of the Botswana town of Francistown. As it is only 10 min drive from the city centre, it is an ideal destination for the business community and travellers alike. It is also only a short drive from Francistown airport. Dumela, quite often the first word a visitor will hear on arrival in the country, means hello or good day.

Dumela Lodge is the perfect stopover for tourists on the way to the Sua Pans in Nata Sanctuary, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Makgadikgadi National Park and Nxai Pan National Park. Most travellers head either south to Gaborone or north towards Nata and Maun, with trips planned into the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve or on to Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls.

The main complex is constructed from raised timber decks, surrounded by half-split gum pole walls and a thatched roof. The open-plan structure houses a reception area and the cocktail bar is where you can catch up with the latest sporting events and world news on DSTV. Breakfast and dinner can be ordered in the restaurant. Visitors with laptops can keep in touch with family and friends at home, connecting into the wi-fi Internet connection.

Accommodation comprises of 7 luxury tented chalets built on raised timber decks. Each chalet has en-suite bathrooms with toilet and free standing bath tub, a fan, a heater, mosquito net, TV (with SABC channels), hair-dryer, tea/coffee station. The electrical supply is 230v with round (South African style) plugs.
