kalahari arms Hotel
Ghanzi | Botswana
The Kalahari Arms Hotel is situated in the centre of Ghanzi. This busy little cattle farming and ranching community is 200km from the Namibian border and 300km from Maun and is an ideal stopover for travellers on the way to the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. The all-weather tarred roads in Botswana are well-maintained and in excellent condition. Ghanzi is served by its own airfield.
In the town there are a couple of banks, of which one of them has an ATM. There are also 3 shopping centres and a couple of bottle stores. The Airfield Filling Station just off the highway is the most convenient refuelling station. There is a decent Internet connection just 100m away from the Kalahari Arms Hotel at the Post Office.
Facilities at this establishment include a curio shop, restaurant, bar and braai area. Many guests enjoy relaxing on the terrace or inside in the cool lounge. There is also an outdoor lapa, to enjoy a cold drink or sundowner. The half-size Olympic swimming pool is ideal for escaping the hot, Botswana sunshine for both adults and kids, who can also entertain themselves in the playground.
The Kalahari Arms Hotel also has a conference room. This is perfect for small seminars, business meetings and small conventions.
Accommodation is in a combination of 35 single, double or family chalet rooms. Some of the rooms can be converted for 3 or 4 adults. All of the rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, DSTV, en-suite bathrooms and a tea/coffee station.
On-site activities include birdwatching, and game drives and horse riding can be organized.
Situated outside of town, this bush camp offers basic accommodation and excellent activities
